On March 21, 2017, Apple announced a new iPad. Yes. It’s just called an iPad. And it’s just an iPad. Its height and screen size are exactly the same as the original iPad Air, and its design is also very close to the first Air tablet.Today we’re going to make a brief comparison on the Touch Screen with Digitizer between iPad (2017) and iPad.
The touch screen appearance of iPad (2017) is very close to iPad Air (including the size). From the front side, we can see the only difference is the home button,since the new iPad (2017) features Touch ID function. As pictures shown below:
The touch screen, touch flex cable, home button hole and front-facing camera hole is the same with iPad Air. As pictures shown below:
Cover area of 3M sticker on the top edge is the same. But on the bottom edge, it is smaller than the iPad (2017). As shown in the pictures:
Through the comparison, we can see that the iPad (2017) is differ from iPad Air only in home button and the cover area of 3M sticker. So the touch panel with digitizer of iPad (2017) and iPad Air could be applied universally.
